This gnome is 90 percent hat and 10 percent nose and that is exactly the correct ratio. His tall pointed hat is felted in soft lavender with a wash of wine red blended through one side, worked smooth and firm so it holds its curve. His nose is a warm peach bulb, and his beard is built from wispy white wool locks felted in at the crown and left loose and cloudlike at the bottom. The body underneath is a dense core wool cone with a flat felted base, so he sits upright without tipping.
